IATA and Innovata Celebrate its 10-Year Partnership
April 2012 represents a significant milestone in the strategic relationship between Innovata and IATA for the marketing and distribution of the Schedules Reference Service – SRS. We jointly enter our 10th year of this landmark agreement to provide the aviation industry with a neutral source of schedules data, and to guarantee a secure, high-quality service for the collection, consolidation and distribution of airline schedules and related data.
Since those early days in 2003, SRS has grown in strength, and numerous clients around the world now benefit from the results of SRS, including:
- A worldwide schedules database with virtually every scheduled airline in the world filing updates (over 220,000 flights in aggregate). With airlines tactically managing their network’s frequency and capacity like never before, we are refreshing over 20% of the schedules held in the database every day and over 95% of the database is completely refreshed and updated every week.
- The industry leading Minimum Connect Time database with all IATA recommended values, plus over 96,000 airports and airline-specific exceptions filed with Innovata. On average almost 5,000 MCT updates are filed and processed by Innovata each month.
- A full complement of IATA carrier, stations and aircraft equipment codes maintained and updated with IATA notification.
- A worldwide Time Zone file with DST effective and discontinued dates three years out for every country in the world.
Innovata will continue to work closely with IATA to provide the industry with a source of schedules and related data that fully complies with current and future IATA industry standards at all times, will continue to play a key participatory role on IATA committees to maintain and improve these standards, and will continue to provide training to airlines and industry suppliers in SSIM standards to help educate and facilitate the use of SSIM in the aviation industry.
Innovata looks forward to fulfilling these important contributions in partnership with IATA, as we enter the second decade of the SRS strategic partnership.
